Mist on Wanstead Flats
On 9 December 2005, a thick fog was on Wanstead Flats in the morning. By evening, it had reduced to mist, and as I stood there it was like being in a strange incantation - all around me was a white circle about a metre high, but I could see above and partly beyond it. I took my camera out to see if I could capture it as the sun went down. The moon had already risen.
