Recipe - Grenita
MethodWash and weigh your fruit and add half that weight in sugar. Put the sugar and fruit in a pan and heat slowly, until the fruit is turned to liquid as far as possible. Remove from the heat and stir in a glass of wine (about 1/3 as much liquid as there is in the pan already) - red to go with berries, or you can experiment with white wine on other fruit.
Pour into glasses and freeze.
Very simple and very tasty!
