Jonathan's - 34 New Oxford Street, London WC1
Number of visits?
Several, most recently May 2002.Location?
New Oxford Street - a five minute walk from Holborn or Tottenham Court Road tube stations.Food?
Pizza and pasta. Notably also prepare tasty salads which are substantial enough to make a main course. The bruschetta is an ample starter, the main courses are marginally better than Pizza Express and ASK, because this is not a chain. The staff are also willing to make small variations to the menu as requested. Deserts are adequate, but the pasta steals the show. Drinkable Italian wines accompany.Clientele
Nearby office workers. Usually fairly quiet.Cost?
£20 per head.Anything else?
Full disabled access. There is no consistent non-smoking area - it is allocated from night to night, so smoke may occasionally drift over. When eating as part of a large group my (vegetarian) dish contained a stray piece of bacon - not good! However this is the exception. Generally the food is good and the service efficient and friendly.Opening Hours?
Midday to midnight approx.Official Website?
None.This page last updated: 30 November 2004
