Number of visits?
Several, most recently May 2002.

Location?
Streatham Street, 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road.

Food?
Japanese - including a range of vegetarian foods of all types. Three main categories - noodles, rice, and noodle soup. Also various lightly curried dishes such as chicken pieces or vegetarian cakes. Side orders include steamed soya beans, vegetable and meat parcels. Freshly made juices (both vegetable and fruit) are tasty, but wines, beers and saki are also available. Green tea is free on request. The food is served promptly and is very tasty - however staff are unable to deviate from the menu.

Clientele
Office workers, tourists and families.

Cost?
£10 per head - extremely good value for such tasty food!

Anything else?
As well as the food, the ethos is Japanese - food is prepared quickly and provided as soon as it is ready - so that you cannot order in courses unless you wait to place your order after you have eaten the first item! There is a "school dining room" feel as the tables are continuous, so that at busy times you will be seated next to people that you don't know. Staff are friendly and efficient, although it can be hard to catch their eye and the fruit juices take a while to arrive. A different and enjoyable experience.

There is no disabled access to the restaurant - although Wagamama is a chain and other venues have not been explored.

Opening Hours?
Midday to midnight, approx.
